Vice Chancellor, Karl Kumm University, Vom, Nigeria, Prof Yakubu Yerima Jabil has disclosed that the dreams of the founding fathers of the university as regards providing quality education and producing God fearing leaders for global impact cannot be compromised.
Speaking when he hosted the Executive members of his Alma mater, Sharam Old Students Association in his office, Prof Jabil noted with optimism that the achievements so far recorded was a testament of the resilience of both the management, staff and students of the institution towards ensuring sustainable development of the university in the areas of academic excellence and global research.
He thanked the members for their great show of support, encouragement and prayers which has helped him in no small measure since his assumption of office.
Earlier, the Chairperson, Sharam Old Students Association, Mrs Angela Wuyep expressed gratitude to God over Prof Jabil's appointment as the second Substantive Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Vom, Nigeria.
She explained that the appointment did not come as a surprise considering the intellectual capacity, hard work and transparent character of the incumbent Vice Chancellor which was as a result of the highest degree of discipline the college was known for.
She prayed to God to provide wisdom and strength to the Vice Chancellor to enable him to succeed in his expected obligations in the university.
Mrs Wuyep disclosed that the association has decided to present an achievers' award to the Vice Chancellor in recognition of his tremendous achievements during their reunion celebrations slated for later this year.
In his remarks, the Registrar of Karl Kumm University, Ben Dachomo thanked the members of the Alma mater for identifying with the Vice Chancellor and prayed for journey mercy back to their respective destinations.
