Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who has continued to bless us according to His riches in glory. I was appointed the substantive Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Vom, Nigeria, succeeding my predecessor, Professor Nanven Audu Gambo, whose tenure expired on 20 May 2026. Indeed, Karl Kumm University has come a long way in its fruitful journey of academic excellence and intellectual development. I wish to acknowledge and commend the invaluable contributions of our Proprietor, Rev. Dr. Amos Musa Mohzo; the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Prof. Suleiman Elias Bogoro, OON; the Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Hayward Mafuyai; members of the Governing Council and Senate; the immediate past Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nanven Audu Gambo, and his management team; as well as our dedicated staff and students. Their resilience, commitment, and hard work have contributed immensely to the remarkable achievements recorded by the University over the years. I also thank Almighty God for inspiring the founding fathers of this great institution to conceive, establish, and nurture Karl Kumm University, laying a solid foundation upon which we continue to build. As I assume office, my mandate is clear: to consolidate on the remarkable achievements already recorded and to strategically reposition the University for greater excellence, ensuring that it takes its rightful place among leading institutions of higher learning globally. We are particularly delighted that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted accreditation to all eleven academic programmes currently offered by the University. This achievement enables us to admit, train, and graduate students in accordance with national standards and expectations. By the grace of God, my administration will focus on strengthening and expanding academic programmes, enhancing physical infrastructure and intellectual capacity, promoting staff and student development, and fostering strategic partnerships with reputable national and international research organizations. These efforts will increase the University's visibility, competitiveness, and global relevance. I therefore urge all staff and students to remain committed to the vision and ideals of our founding fathers. Let us continue to demonstrate faithfulness, discipline, diligence, and excellence in the discharge of our responsibilities. Together, we can sustain the gains already achieved and accomplish even greater milestones. I am confident that the God who has begun this good work in us will continue to grant us wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to preserve and advance this legacy. The responsibility of sustaining and building upon these achievements rests with all of us, and I encourage every member of the University community to play their part with dedication and integrity. May God continue to bless Karl Kumm University.
