The Karl Kümm University was established as part of the continuing efforts of COCIN to contribute to the education and qualitative manpower development of Nigeria and beyond and also to compliment the efforts of government in the provision of tertiary education in Nigeria. The University would explore God’s creation through learning. In doing this, the University would strive to honour God in the day to day interactions of individuals, units and groups, within the campus and in the outside community.
The University would pursue excellence which reflects God’s name and character. The University would seek to produce a community of staff and students that are committed to pursuing excellence in character through learning to explore God’s creation. In doing this, the character of God as revealed in the scriptures and creation is integrated into everyday life, nurturing every community member into maturity to be light of the world.
To be a centre of excellence in scholarly learning and training, producing graduates who are thoroughly knowledgeable in the workings and forces of nature, the course and development of mankind and his environment, and who can apply scientific thought to design and implement solutions to societal problems.
The main thrust of the University shall be the production of holistic human resources (total Man) for the development of appropriate infrastructures, immediate developmental needs of the nation, and a conducive learning environment for the present generation and beyond.
