Prof. Audu Nanven Gambo

Prof. Audu Nanven Gambo is the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the University, having assumed office on 21st May, 2021. He is a well accomplished academic, with special interest in International Relations and Strategic Studies. Before his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of Karl Kümm University, he was a Professor in the Department of Political Science University of Jos. He was also a Directing Staff at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru. He has distinguished himself academically. In 2006, he served as a Fulbright Fellow on the Study of the US Foreign Policy at the United States Institute on US Foreign Policy, University of South Carolina, Columbia, United States of America. Prof. Gambo was also a Visiting Scholar at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands in 2011.

He has published widely in reputable national and international journals, authoring over 80 peer-reviewed articles in top-tier journals indexed by Scopus and Google Scholar. His work has been cited world over and has garnered global recognition for addressing critical contemporary challenges.

Prof. Gambo’s professional affiliations reflect his standing in the global academic community. He is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Nigerian Political Science Association (NPSA), Nigerian Society of International Affairs (NSIA), International Political Science Association (IPSA), African Association of Political Science (APSA), and West African Research Innovation and Management Association (WARIMA).

He is a seasoned peer reviewer and former member of the editorial board of Journal of Politics, Federal university Lafia, editor for the University of Jos Journal for Political Science, and consulting editor for the Benue Journal of Peace and Development Studies. He continues to shape the frontiers of knowledge; an advocate of technology-driven education, Prof. Gambo infuses technological advancement into teaching and research, exemplifying innovation in the academia.

Beyond the academia, he is a visionary leader, committed to community development, having served in several leadership roles within his community. Professor Gambo is a devout Christian, exemplifying servant-leadership, innovation, and transformational leadership and is happily married and blessed with children.
