In preparation for its forthcoming accreditation exercise at the Karl Kumm University, Vom, by the National Universities Commission (NUC), slated between October and November this year, the management of the institution is making adequate preparations for a smooth sail. Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Vom, Nigeria, Prof Nanven Audu Gambo, disclosed this during the 107th General Church Council (GCC) meeting of the Church of Christ in Nations, held at the COCIN Headquarters church in Jos, Plateau State adding that a Mock Accreditation exercise was held last April 2025, where observed inadequacies were addressed. A statement signed by the Protocol and Information Officer to the Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Bulus Gambo, quoted the Vice Chancellor saying that the management attaches great commitment to the exercise considering its relevance to the institution. The Vice-Chancellor said management has also procured equipment for various students' skill acquisition programmes as directed by the NUC. Prof Gambo thanked the President of COCIN, Rev Dr Amos Musa Mohzo, Chairman of Karl Kumm University Board of Trustees, Prof Suleiman Bogoro, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board, Prof Hayward B. Mafuyai, PCC and RCC Chairmen, and the entire COCIN congregation for the wonderful support the institution has continued to receive. In his speech, the President of COCIN, Rev Dr Amos Musa Mohzo, disclosed that Karl Kumm University remains a vital arm of the church's vision to advance Christian-based education in Nigeria. According to him, as part of the responsibility to support the institution's growth and sustainability, the church budgeted a total sum of Five Hundred Million Naira for the institution. He noted that by God's grace and the church congregation's sacrificial commitment, the church management adopted a structure of monthly remittance of Fifty Million naira, and this consistent contribution ensured the completion of the full subvention by August 2025. Dr. Mohzo also acknowledged the support of all RCC Chairmen, their executive councils, and all COCIN members who have continued to faithfully remit their percentage to the Headquarters, praying to God to reward them for their labour of love.
