Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Vom, Prof Nanven Audu Gambo, has appealed to the 15 Provisional Church Councils, (PCCs) of the Church of Christ in Nations, (COCIN) to help complete the building project of the institution's chapel. Speaking during the just concluded 107th General Church Council, (GCC) meeting held at the COCIN Headquarters Church, Jos, Prof Gambo explained that weekly devotions are currently held in one of the classrooms, and the students’ population was growing beyond the hall's capacity. A statement signed by the Protocol and Information Officer to the Vice Chancellor, Bulus Gambo, quoted Prof Gambo appealing to the PPCs through the Executive Council of the church to join hands together towards erecting the chapel’s building, which will go a long way in solving this emerging problem. He suggested that five PCCs of the total number can pool resources together to raise the building, another five do the roofing, fitting, and installation work, while the last five furnish the auditorium. The Vice Chancellor, while applauding the support of the COCIN, President, Rev Dr. Amos Musa Mohzo and his executive team, the Chairman Board of Trustees of the University, Prof Suleiman Bogoro, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board, Prof Hayward Mafuyai, and the entire COCIN congregation for their unrelenting support, equally appealed to the institution’s proprietor on the need to heighten the institution’s perimeter fence as some of the portions of the fence are so low and vulnerable to security breaches. He noted that though the institution has about 3,000 blocks on the ground, it was grossly inadequate to raise the fence to an appreciable level to help complement the security measures in place at the university. Prof Gambo revealed that the E-Library furnished to serve as the institution’s virtual library was expected to also serve as a Resource Centre in line with NUC expectations, as well as, at an appropriate time, be approved by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to serve as a Computer-Based Test Centre. In his remarks, the President Church of Christ in Nations, Rev Dr Amos Musa Mohzo commended the Vice Chancellor, his management team, and other critical stakeholders for the wonderful support, noting that Karl Kumm University by the grace of God has come to stay and flourish beyond its present disposition.
