Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Vom, Nigeria, Prof Nanven Audu Gambo has expressed the university’s willingness to partner with international institutions to help improve both human and learning resource capacity of the institution. Speaking when he hosted the family of former Chairman Provisional Church Council (PCC), of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Borno State, Rev Daniel Gula, Prof Gambo acknowledged the immense contributions of the family to the university, which has helped in repositioning the institution for greater prospects. A statement signed by the Protocol and Information Officer to the Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Bulus Gambo, quoted the Vice Chancellor acknowledging the significant sacrifice of Rev Gula's family, which was worthy of emulation. He expressed optimism that though the university was facing some teething problems, the stakeholders, management, and staff have remained resilient in their obligations to ensure the institution realizes its set objective of becoming a global citadel of global learning. Earlier in his remarks, the former Chairman of PCC Borno, Rev Daniel Gula, explained that they decided with his wife, Mrs Kathleen Gula, and their grandchildren to visit the university to see how they can offer more assistance to the institution. He thanked God, the COCIN President, Rev Dr Amos Mohzo, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof Suleiman Elias Bogoro, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board, Prof Hayward Mafuyai, and the entire church congregation for their relentless efforts towards the sustainable improvement of educational standards in the institution. The couple then urged their grandchildren studying in various universities across the United Kingdom to consider multiple ways of linking Karl Kumm University with foreign donor institutions in the country. In her remarks, Mrs Kathleen Gula requested the Vice Chancellor to itemize some of the institution's challenges for them to see how they can intervene within available resources.
