The Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Vom, Nigeria, Professor Nanven Audu Gambo, urged the matriculated students to strictly uphold the core values of the institution, which include academic excellence, integrity, respect, and a strong sense of responsibility. Speaking during the 3rd Matriculation Ceremony of the institution held on its premises, Professor Gambo explained that the university has zero tolerance for academic dishonesty, examination misconduct, cultism, substance abuse, sexual harassment, and all other forms of misconduct. In a statement signed by the Protocol and Information Officer to the Vice Chancellor, Bulus Gambo, Professor Gambo was quoted as warning the matriculated students to study the Students’ Code of Conduct, as ignorance of the law will not be an excuse for violating it. He disclosed that the university has a policy of conducting drug tests for students returning to campus from home and cautioned them to eschew anything that would compromise their integrity, whether at home or on campus. Earlier, the Registrar of the university, Benjamin Dachomo, appealed to the students to study hard and justify the significant investments made by their parents. Dachomo further urged the students to abide by the Students’ Code of Conduct to help them achieve academic excellence. In his remarks, Reverend Dr. Datsu Richard Kungle, who spoke on behalf of the parents, commended the institution for its strategic engagements in providing sustainable, global-standard education.
