LMFB LAYS FOUNDATION FOR CUSTOMER MEETING POINT AT KKU

Light Microfinance Bank (LMFB) has taken a bold step toward strengthening financial inclusion with the foundation laying of its new Customer Meeting Point at Karl Kumm University (KKU), Vom, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. At the ceremony, LMFB’s Managing Director, Mr. Alexander Tampi, described the project as a milestone in the bank’s 14-year journey of empowering communities through accessible financial services. He emphasized that the new facility will bring banking closer to the university and surrounding communities, enhancing economic participation. Representing the President of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Rev. Dr Amos Mohzo, the Chairman of PCC Kuru, Rev. Stephen Godongs, performed the symbolic foundation laying. He urged LMFB staff and stakeholders to uphold integrity, accountability, and godly values, stressing that true service must uplift society. The Board Chairman of LMFB, Mr. Stephen Bathanna, expressed gratitude to KKU and the Vwang community for their support, calling on residents to protect and embrace the facility. He reaffirmed the bank’s mission of delivering reliable grassroots banking. Goodwill messages flowed from dignitaries including KKU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nanven Gambo, Engr. Solomon Chikang, Mr. Mapak Benjamin of the Association of Microfinance Banks, Mr. Bashi Darou Dung of Berom Youth Moulders Vwang, and site engineer Engr. Seth Mbugadu. All commended LMFB for bridging financial gaps and fostering local development. The event featured prayers and the laying of foundation blocks, with guests expressing optimism that the new meeting point will boost LMFB’s growth and contribute significantly to Plateau State’s economic development.
